In 1848, a large golden vein was discovered in California, USA, and a gold rush began.
The following year, in 1849, many people flooded California with great dreams and hopes. The people gathered in the last 49 years were called Forty Niners.
A lot of excitement of dreams and hopes that would have been exchanged at a California social site in 1849.
I wanted to create such a stimulating hill, so I launched the Forty-Niners Club.
